Mark Truesdell has been active in Milwaukee music since the late 1980's as a solo performer and in groups including John the Conqueroo, FS Camels, The Dellmann Trio, Mark Truesdell & The Lost Pioneers, Truesdell & Rautmann, Once Now Ensemble, Dumb Terminal Project and local legends - The 40 oz Kings.
Current projects are The Spirals with Candice Truesdell Nokes, jazz drumming with Smith & Binder Jazz, backing prominent poet/author Charles P. Ries in Charles P. Ries & the MinkTronics and drumming with Dumb Terminal Project.
Drums, acoustic and electric guitar, vocals, harmonica, keyboard, synthesizers, bass, and the homemade Rotella Cosmica are Mark’s main instruments.
Influences include Sun Ra, The Doors, Ms Fun, The Clash, Little Walter, Johnny Cash, Todd Rundgren, Grace Jones, Billy Bragg, Marshall Crenshaw, JJ Cale, Kraftwerk, Willie Dixon, Howlin' Wolf, Art Blakey and Tab Benoit.
