Bob Marley meets the Libertarian Party in a cool tax protest song with a slinky reggae beat. Mark Truesdell has always had a crafty way around a lyric and this song is no exception. The sure backing by wife Candice Nokes along with Jared Drake and Bob Mueller of the Bean Hoy band add just the right extra dimension to the production. Track 2 of this CD single is a rare slab of Truesdell low-fi psycho-delick blues weird-ittude, but "Taxes" is the essential cut here, and the reason to buy.
